How we score tools (0–100)
- Capability (30): does the tool complete real tasks end to end, measured against the best alternatives in its category — not against marketing claims.
- Ease of use (20): how fast a competent non-expert reaches a first real result, including onboarding, templates and documentation quality.
- Value (20): output quality per dollar at realistic usage volumes, weighing free tiers, seat pricing and usage-based costs.
- Reliability (15): uptime track record, support responsiveness, company stability and data-handling practices.
- Freshness (15): listings are re-checked periodically; stale scores decay until a listing is reviewed again.
What the badges mean
- Featured: editorial picks our reviewers would recommend to a friend — never paid.
- Trending: tools with surging reader interest right now.
- Verified: listing details confirmed against the vendor’s official site and pricing page.
- Sponsored: paid placement, always labeled, expiry-dated, and excluded from all scores and rankings.
How we test
Editors trial free tiers and trials on real assignments, read documentation and pricing pages in full, and compare each tool against at least two direct alternatives before publishing. Pros and cons reflect observed behavior, not press releases. When vendors change pricing or features, automation flags the listing and editors re-verify — the last-reviewed date on every tool page shows exactly when that happened.
How we stay independent
Clicksom AI earns through affiliate commissions, display advertising and labeled sponsored placements (see our Affiliate Disclosure). Commercial relationships never influence scores, rankings or verdicts — reviewers don’t see revenue data, and sponsors can’t buy their way out of documented weaknesses. Corrections from readers with evidence are typically fixed within days via our contact page.
